Joining Our Shed
The best way to find out more about our shed is to send a message by email or through our website. We'll invite you to come in one morning to see the Shed in action, meet a few members and talk through any questions. We also meet most Wednesdays from 10.45 in the Dr Peter Centre, Mountbatten Avenue, It's off Alma Road and an easy walk from Waitrose. Many members walk or cycle but if you choose to come by car, there are a few parking spaces.
If you would like to join our shed then please read the member application pack carefully. This contains - the welcome letter; application form; members’ responsibilities; workshop operational rules; and shed status and management. These are important documents and every member should make sure they fully understand them. We will give you hard copy and they can also be found below on this page. If you have any query, do not hesitate to ask.
We also have an informal 'buddy' system to help new member find their feet and start to get involved.
When you are ready, please complete and sign the application form, members’ responsibilities and workshop operational rules. You can send them to RMS, c/o The Community Office, Romsey School or hand in person to one of the trustees. And don’t forget your membership fee – currently this is £30 per full year (April to March) or £2.50 per month until the following April if you join in the middle of the membership year.
